Charles is a buyer like you and has been doing electronics sourcing in Asia since 1979. Sourcing first from Japan, then Korea, then Taiwan and now mainland China and as a small to medium buyer himself, his company seeks out new products from China manufacturers that are then customized for his company’s or client’s needs. In his sourcing he has run into many issues of product defects, IP theft, incorrect product received, missing licenses and late deliveries, among a host of other issues that might have affected company survivability if not dealt with during the price and purchase negotiation process. He shares his experiences with both seasoned and new China buyers, hoping that his insight and past experiences will help others have a successful China sourcing experience.
